The Scream Ohio style

I have no doubt that during the course of the last year or so Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream" has come to mind, today though was one where it wasn't for the wrong reasons. Over the years I have bored the reader with sunsets, sunrises and storms, just beacause sometimes the sky here can be either amazing or beautiful or both. Today though was a little different.

Very late this afternoon hubby happened to glance out the window and immediately said "Wow that's wierd look at the sky!". He wasn't kidding and we both grabbed cameras (looking at facebook tonight I see we weren't the only ones). I have no idea what caused the cloud formations that rolled through for several minutes. We had no strange weather forecast only thunderstorms for much later tonight. Those much brighter than I can probably explain what was going on, but when my hubby says he has never seen anything like it you know it's special. This is definitely one of those occasions when I really wish the pictures were in 3D to give them their true intensity these pictures really don't do the sky justice.

Weird and creepy but definitely brought "The Scream" to mind.
